Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wiper device capable of ensuring a wiping performance even when the pressing force of a wiper arm act slantingly to the central axis of a wiper blade. SOLUTION: An arm head 14 is twisted so that the axis of a hinge 20 is inclined by an angle α toward a minus side relative to the normal H of a glass surface G. Then, an arm piece 22 is twisted and returned in the direction opposite to the arm head 14. The central axis N of a wiper blade 30 is located on the normal H of the glass surface G. A power point K on which the pressing force P of a spring 28 acts through the arm piece 22 is offset by ΔL in the direction of width from the central axis N of the wiper blade 30 because of flanges of different thickness. Assuming that distance between the power point K and the end part 32A of a blade rubber 32 is L, this dislocation ΔL is a value determined by ΔL=L×tanα. Therefore, since the pressing force P of the wiper arm is directed toward the end part 32A of blade rubber 32, couple of force is not generated in the end part 32A. Thus, angle of contact for ensuring a wiping performance can be obtained. |
