Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a dead space in a refrigerator and maximize a storing volume as by a method wherein two airtight holders moved out of a passage in compliance with a motion of a storing container are provided between the two adjoining door main bodies. SOLUTION: Airtight holders are composed of center pillars 16 arranged to be contacted with rear surfaces of the adjoining two door main bodies 8 and the center pillars 16 are rotatably supported at two supporting arms 17 fixed in a spaced-apart relation to an inner panel of each of the door main bodies 8 through pins. In turn, there is provided a lever 21 having a pivot shaft 20 fitted to a recess of an inner box of a main body of the refrigerator, wherein one end of this lever 21 is engaged with a guiding groove 19 at each of end surfaces of each of the center pillars 16 through a follower shaft 22 and the other end is biased by a spring 24 against one surface of a protrusion 23 acting as a projection part of an upper edge end of a storing container 14. With such an arrangement as above, it is possible to eliminate a dead space in the refrigerator and to increase a storing volume as much as possible.
