Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily obtain a transmucous or transdermal pharmaceutical composition that is excellent in drug release and absorption in vivo by using per-2-18C acylated cyclodextrin and drugs. SOLUTION: This composition comprises a per-2-18C acylated cyclodextrin as a plasticizer, an adsorbent or a clathrater and a drug. The drug is selected from a nonsteroidal antirheumatic agent, steroid, a cardiotonic saponin, a benzazepine derivative, a benzimidazole derivative, a pyridine derivative, an imidazole derivative and a triazole derivative. The acylated cyclodextrin is preferably a per-4-6C acylated-β-cyclodextrin. This composition is preferably formed in sheets or films to create an air-tight environment and prevent moisture dissipation from the applied surface whereby the permeation of the drug into the skin is increased almost without irritation.
