Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a skin material on a head rest upto a part in contact with a leg part by causing a blade fitted integrally into a thin plate to ascend along the lateral face of an insert part with the skin material. SOLUTION: A molded head rest 10 is set to the bottom force 13 of a mold and the top force 20 of he mold is caused to descend to hold the head rest 10 so that it is uplifted by an outer force. The leg part 1A of the insert part 1 is introduced into a slot 12 and is held there in such a state that the leg part 1A is brought into contact with the thin plate 16. Next, an upward moving cylinder 14 is activated to cause the blade 18 to climb with the thin plate 16 along the leg part 1A of the insert part 1. First, the tip of the thin plate 16 is introduced into the part, which comes into contact with the leg part 1A, of the skin material 4 to cut the skin material 4 inch by inch sequentially using the edge part of the blade 18. Consequently, it is possible to ensure the positive cutting of the part, contact with the leg part 1A, of the skin material 4 so that no part remains uncut.
