Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound, capable of being neutral or ionic in a composition without discharging components into a solvent, and useful as a catalyst system, etc., for polymerizing an olefin by combination thereof with a metallocene, etc., by composing the compound of a carrier and a specific unit covalently bonded thereto. SOLUTION: This compound is composed of a structure represented by formula I A<c+> is a cation; (c) is 1-10; (b)>=0; T is a carrier; (y) is >=1; (a) is 0-10; (a).(y)=(c).(b); N is a unit represented by formula II [M is a group IIa, IIIa, IVa or Va element of the periodic table; R is a substituent group of M such as a halogen or a 1-40C carbon-containing group (Z); X is Z; S is a spacer for covalently bonding M to T; (d), (e) and (f) are each 0 or 1; (g), (h), (k) and (r) are each 0-10; (i) is 0-1,000; (j) is 1-6: (w) and (z) are each 0-2] and is neutral when (a) is 0 and a charged unit when (a) is >=1}. Furthermore, a carrier having 10-100m /g specific surface area, 1-500μm average particle diameter, 0.5-4.0mL/g pore volume and 2-50nm pore diameter is preferably used as the T.
