Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply obtain the subject high-purity compound, completely maintaining the isomer purity of a new intermediate, by a new method for reacting the intermediate with a substituted boronic acid. SOLUTION: A compound of formula I (R is an alkyl, an alkenyl, etc.; R is R or a five-membered or a six-membered monocyclic or condensed aromatic or a hetero aromatic group; (n) is 1-10; Hal is a halogen) is reacted with a boronic acid of the formula Ar -B(OH)2 (Ar is a substituted five-membered or six-membered monocyclic or condensed aromatic or heteroaromatic group) or its dimer or trimer in the presence of both a catalyst composed of a palladium (0) or palladium (II) compound [preferably tetrakis(triphenylphosphino) palladium] and a base (preferably sodium carbonate) in an organic solvent or an solvent mixture preferably at 1-30 to 20 deg.C to give the objective compound of formula II. The compound of formula I is a new compound and is preferably obtained by halogenating a hydroxamic ester of formula III.
