Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door opening and closing device controller for electric railcar which involves a linear synchronous motor consisting of a permanent magnet and an armature coil. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of a door 10, a linear synchronous motor 40, and a control circuit 100. The number of A- and B-phase pulse train signals generated of the output from the sensor 41 of the linear synchronous motor 40 is measured by a status monitor control circuit 80. The present position of a door body 11 is controlled based on the measurements, and the speed and thrust of the linear synchronous motor 40 are controlled by the control circuit 100.
