SOLUTION: A general communication protocol is used for the control of processing processes between plural computers connected with a network. For example, a data server 2 which preserves a picture outputted from a modality 5, and manages the picture according to a management number, computer A3 which specifies a picture to be processed, and computer B4 which actually processes a picture are connected with a network 1 for referring to and working a picture generated in, for example, a hospital. A processing process on each computer A3 and B4 is managed by an identification symbol (mail address) in which a name for specifying the processing process is combined with a name for specifying the computer for executing the process.
