Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair rinse which exhibits hair dressing effect in addition to hair rinsing effect, leaving no residue and causing no damages of hair even when repeatedly used, by compounding a specific nonionic vinyl-silicone copolymer and surface active agent. SOLUTION: This hair rinse contains (a) a water-insoluble, nonionic vinyl/ silicone copolymer having the skeleton composed of polymer of siloxane unit and one or more side chains composed of polymer of vinyl unit, and (b) a surface active agent selected from the group consisting of nonionic, anionic, cationic and ampholttic surface active agents. A dimethylsiloxane/methyl-3- mercaptopropylsiloxane/isobuty A methacrylate copolymer is cited as one example of the component (a). The contents of these components are 0.1 to 30wt.% for the component (a) and 3 to 50wt.% for the component (b). Hair rinsed with this rinse is combed well, whether it is wet or dry, and can be set without spoiling the natural touch.
