Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device to which an optical filter is mounted without warping, even if a PDP is heated. SOLUTION: A plasma display device is constituted by fitting a PDP 1 for displaying a television video or the like to a case 2, through the use of a boss or the like stood upright to a rear side of the PDP. An optical filter 3 is mounted to improve display image quality or the like to a front side of the PDP 1. A glass plate is used as a material for the optical filter 3. An elastic body made of a hard rubber or the like is mounted to a mounting part 3c of a front frame 2a in the case 2 around the optical filter 3. Then the optical filter 3 is fitted to the inside of the front frame 2a, together with a mount metallic fixture 4 with a screw or the like. A conductive film that transmits visual light such as an ITO(indium tin oxide) film or the like and shuts other electromagnetic waves is formed to a front side 3a or a rear side 3b of the optical filter 3.
