Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject cosmetic which can get hair having a satisfactory level of strength, simultaneously full elasticity, when it is naturally held by hand and silk gloss by using water-insoluble synthetic fiber and water- insoluble natural fiber. SOLUTION: At least one of water-insoluble synthetic fiber or natural fiber or their mixture is admixed to a cosmetic for treatment, formation or care of hairstyles, preferably in an amount of 0.01-2.5wt.%. The fiber is made of viscose rayon, polyester, polyamide or silk, has 20-2,000μm length and 8-70μm diameter and particularly silk fiber of 1-1,100μm is suitably used.
