Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion detector that can detect the presence of an object and the presence of flow at all times by arranging a Doppler type sensor and a receiver on both sides of a carrier path, opposedly with specified angle difference. SOLUTION: A Doppler movement detector 10 and a receiver 20 are opposedly arranged on a carrier path. Speed detecting transmit wave is transmitted from the Doppler movement detector 10, and if an object 30 for measurement exists, its reflected wave is detected by the Doppler movement detector 10 to detect the object 30 for measurement, and if no object for measurement 30 exists, the speed detecting transmit wave directly reaches the receiver 20 so as to discriminate nonpresence of the object 30 for measurement.
