Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material for printing plate making which has high sensitivity and high gamma without causing any black spots, any processing fluctuation due to running and any dot fluctuation due to irregular exposure, and to provide an image forming method therefor. SOLUTION: This silver halide photographic sensitive material consists of a base body and a gelatin base coating layer, at least one silver halide emulsion layer and a hydrophilic colloid layer formed on the base body. The silver halide emulsion layer contains a redox compd. which can release a development inhibitor by oxidation. The silver halide particles in the silver halide emulsion layer are core/shell type silver halide particles each having two or more laminar structure. The core as the innermost layer contains at least one of Rh, Ru and Os with a higher content than in the shell part as the outer layer. |
