Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail for a moving sidewalk which is thin but has large bending rigidity and is hard to buckle. SOLUTION: A handrail for a moving sidewalk comprises a core member 7, which is made by laminating two or more layers of inner canvas 5 having 65 to 85 threads/5cm in total number of threads in the directions of length and width and of 1.2 to 2.0mm in thickness and a surface canvas 4 having the usual number of threads in the directions of length and width with wire cords 6 sandwiched therebetween and is formed into U shape in cross section with adhesive rubber, and a decorative rubber layer 8 attached on the core member 7. |
