Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel input device of a simple structure which enables even a visually handicapped person to accurately and easily input his desired information and never impairs the operationality for the non-handicapped persons. SOLUTION: A touch panel input device 8 contains a transparent touch panel 5 put on the screen of a liquid crystal display device and also contains a braille display panels 7a, 7b and 7c at the positions near the left end, right end and lower end parts of the panel 5. The panels 7a to 7c have the braille points 37, 38 and 39 of the fixed meanings which are formed in response to plural specific segments located at the left end, right end and lower end parts of the panel 5. The small touchable projection parts 42 are provided on the surface corresponding to those specific segments located at the preceding edge parts of the panel 5 corresponding to the points 37 to 39 of the plates 7a to 7c, respectively. Furthermore, the linear projection parts 41 are added between the parts 42 and their corresponding points 37 to 39 to touchably guide the positional relations among these parts 42 and points 37 to 39. |
