Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the connection can which makes it easy to perform connecting operation. SOLUTION: The connection can is suspended on a support wire 11 with a fitting part 2. The side wall part 4 of the connection can is fitted rotatably around the bottom surface part 3. On the internal surface of the side wall part 4, a coated optical fiber curving guide 6 and a connection part holder 7 are provided. An intermediate coated optical fiber 14 is connected to a coated optical fiber 13 led out of the optical cable 12 at a fusion splicing connection part 15 and leading-dropped to a branch optical cable 20 through optical connectors 17 and 18. The side wall part 4 can be opened almost horizontally, so the operability is superior.
