Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the treating agent for fibers containing a polyester copolymer produced from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, an alkylene glycol, a specific sulfamic acid (salt), etc., and capable of being used for the post-processing of the synthetic fibers to impart durable antistaticity and water absorbability thereto. SOLUTION: This treating agent for fibers contains a polyester copolymer produced by copolymerizing (A) an aromatic dicarboxylic acid (lower alkyl ester) such as terephthalic acid and (C) a sulfamic acid (salt) of the formula [X is an ester-forming functional group; X is H, X ; M is H, an alkali (ne earth) metal, an onium] such as 2-sulfoaminoterephthalic acid with (B) an alkylene glycol such as ethylene glycol. The component A-C are used in an A/B/C molar ratio of 1/(0.5-1.5)/(0.3-1). |
