Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device using a piezoelectric transformer for generating a high voltage with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: In a power supply device with a piezoelectric transformer 200 and a drive circuit 100 for driving the piezoelectric transformer 200, a coil 4 is connected between the output terminal of the drive circuit 100 and a first input electrode 6 of the piezoelectric transformer 200 and a series resonance circuit is formed by the capacitance between the coil 4 and the piezoelectric transformer 200. The impedance of the drive circuit 100 and a circuit reaching the input edge of the piezoelectric transformer 200 reaches zero and an input voltage VB with a large amplitude is applied to the vibration part of the piezoelectric transformer 200, thus obtaining a high voltage VC from the piezoelectric transformer.
