Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influence of heat radiation from a long size light source. SOLUTION: On one main surface of a light guide plate 4 which has a fluorescent lamp 5 arranged on an end surface, a dotted print pattern and a light reflecting plate 7 are provided and on the other main surface side, a liquid crystal panel 3 is arranged across a light diffusion plate 6; and a reflecting plate 11 is arranged along the length of the fluorescent lamp 5 and given slits (a) and (b), and irradiation light from the fluorescent lamp 5 is entered into the light guide plate 4 while reflected by the reflecting plate 11, projecting from the other main surface, and projected on the effective display area of the liquid crystal panel 3. |
