Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of recycled paper by selectively separating and recovering a useful fiber component by a flotation treatment of an alkaline waste solution discharged from a paper making process or a waste paper treating process and blending the recovered fiber component to recycled paper. SOLUTION: In this recovery of fiber, useful fibers having >=0.10mm average fiber length and included in white water are selectively separated and recovered by floating the white water having 8.5-12pH and discharged in a washing process of a suspension of newspaper waste pulp in >=0.015 gas/liquid ratio by a flotation device. By blending the recovered fibers, especially blending with a raw material for board paper, paper having improved strength can be obtained. |
