Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive planographic printing plate having no contamination in the base of a nonpicture part nor contamination like small spots produced when printing is started again by controlling the compsn. of the surface of the nonpicture part where a photosensitive material is removed by development, and to provide a photosensitive planographic printing plate having excellent printing durability in which the nonpicture part is hardly con taminated, by controlling the surface energy of the surface of an aluminum planographic printing plate. SOLUTION: This photosensitive planographic printing plate is produced by subjecting an aluminum supporting body to surface roughening treatment and anodic oxidation treatment and forming a photosensitive layer on this supporting body. The surface energy of the surface of the aluminum supporting body after the roughening treatment and anodic oxidation treatment is controlled in such a manner that the average density of Si atoms or the average density of C atoms on the surface of a nonpicture part of this printing plate after a photosensitive layer is removed by development is controlled to >=5.0 at.% or <=12.0 at.%, respectively.
