Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the generation of fog with high accuracy regardless of weather and surrounding environment. SOLUTION: The inside of a photographing object region 20 is photographed with a TV camera 10 and image signals concerning photographing objects in the photographing object region 20 are produced, which are input in an image processor 12. In the image processor 12, an image concerning a plurality of regions in the vicinity of white lines 22 is produced as a shade pattern image and by comparing the shade pattern image in each region with a registered pattern image denoting a reference value in the case of no fog generation, a correlation value of the two is obtained. Then, with a fog detection part 14, the correlation value is made an input neuron value and transmissivity is obtained as output neuron value. When the transmissivity is lower or equal to a set value, an alarm is displayed on a screen of an indication part 16 to show the generation of fog. |
