Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact piezoelectric vibrator element piece which has the satisfactory electric characteristic by preparing a slit to physically separate the exciting electrode parts from the input/output terminal parts. SOLUTION: The exciting electrode parts 1a and 1a' and the input/output terminal parts 1b and 1b' are simultaneously deposited on the upper and lower surface sides of a crystal vibrator element piece 1 respectively. The parts 1b and 1a are electrically connected to each other via a pattern which is formed on the side end face of the piece 1 by the so-called oblique vapor deposition. Then a slit 1c is formed by blanking on the surface of the piece 1 existing between the parts 1a/1a' and 1b/1b'. The slit 1c has such width and length that can physically separate the parts 1a/1a' from the parts 1b/1b'. When an adhesive 3 is hardened, the residual stress is generated to the piece 1 but never propagates to a vibration area owing to the slit 1c.
