Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for preparing a reinforced resin compsn. which can provide a reinforced polyamide resin comps. having mechanical strength, toughness, heat resistance, and dimensional stability, is reduced in the variation in properties, and hence has stable quality. SOLUTION: A monomer is polymerized in the presence of 0.01 to 100 pts.wt. phyllosilicate (1) having the following properties and 0.001 to 5 pts.wt. acid (2) having the following properties, the amounts of the components (1) and (2) each being based on the amount of the monomer necessary for 100 pts.wt. polyamide. (1) The rotating viscosity is not more than 1,000cP as measured by a method wherein the phyllosilicate is dispersed in a concn. of 7wt.% in pure water at 25 deg.C and the viscosity is measured with a Brookfield viscometer equipped with no.5 rotor at a stirring rate of 6rpm. (2) The pKa value in water at 25 deg.C is 0-4 or negative, and the anion produced after the release of a proton is a rigid base.
