Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable sharing of an RS-232C cable to be employed when connecting a data terminal device and a line terminator device and when connecting data terminal devices respectively. SOLUTION: An RS-232C cable is constituted of cables 3 and 4, connectors CN1 and CN2, provided one ends of the cables 3 and 4 and connected to a data terminal device DTE, a connector CN3 provided at the other end of the cable 3, and a connector CN4 normally connected and reversely connected to the connector CN3, the connectors 3 and 4 are provided with odd numbers of terminals containing an SG terminal arranged at the center thereof, plural groups of terminals for transmission and reception control are arranged at a position symmetrical against the SG terminal, and a dummy terminal 6 is provided on one side of the SG terminal, and two control terminals 3 and 4, commonly connected when reverse connection is made, are provided on the other side thereof. |
