Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical disk having not only a good degree of modulation but also good characteristics, such as jitters by setting the slope angle of the inner wall of a pit to the normal line of a substrate and the depth of the pit to specified ranges. SOLUTION: The transparent substrates 101, 102 consist of a light-transmitting resin such as polycarbonate and acryl, and each substrate has a recording surface where information is recorded as plural pits arranged in a concentric or spiral form. Reflection films 103, 104 are formed by sputtering or vapor deposition of aluminum or aluminum alloy on the recording surfaces of the substrates. Further, protective films 105, 106 are formed thereon by spin coating or screen printing of a UV-curing resin.
