Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic material for skin capable of expressing excellent aging-preventing effect on skin and skin-beautifying effect by using mevalonic acid, mevalonolactone together with a specific plant-extract or a specific material obtained from yeasts or mammals. SOLUTION: In this cosmetic material for skin, (a) one or more of mevalonic acid and mevalonolactone are combined with (b1 ) an extract of one or more of plants selected from a group consisting of loquats, peaches, Kokuryo ginsengs, dishcloth gourds, herbaceous peonies, goldthreads, etc. One or more of powdery yeasts (b2 ), extracts of yeasts are combined together with the component (a). One of a deproteinized extract from the blood of a mammal (b3 ) or collagen is combined together with the component (a). A dose of the component (a) in a cosmetic material is preferably about 0.001-10wt.% based on the total weight of the cosmetic material. The dose of the components (b1 ), (b2 ) and (b3 ) are preferably about 0.01-10wt.%, 0.01-5.0wt.% and 0.01-5.0wt.%, respectively.
