Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deposition of mixed abrasive grains so as to uniformly disperse mixed abrasive grains even with the passage of time without greatly increasing grains and to easily cleanse an article to be cleansed after machining by containing fatty acid ester in an interfacial active agent. SOLUTION: A water lap liquid composition includes (A) one or two more kinds selected from mineral oil, carbon hydrogen oil, animal oil and vegetable oil, (B) an interfacial active agent and (C) water, and the interfacial active agent includes fatty acid ester of 5 to 80wt.% and HLB1.5 to 12 and interfacial active agents of 20 to 95wt.%. Lap liquid is formed by mixing abrasive grains containing silicon carbide, diamond or aluminum oxide in the lap liquid composition. For fatty aid ester of HLB1.5 to 12, ester containing fatty acid having 6 to 36 carbons and polyhydric alcohol having 2 to 8 hydroxyl groups is used.
