Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having excellent colorability and thermal stability by compounding a vinyl chloride resin with respective specific amounts of a zinc compound, a hydrotalcite, PVA and a polymethyl methacrylate. SOLUTION: The objective composition is produced by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride resin with (B) 0.01-5 pts.wt. (preferably 0.05-3 pts.wt.) of a zinc compound such as zinc stearate, zinc benzoate, an amino acid zinc salt or zinc oxide, (C) 0.01-10 pts.wt. of a hydrotalcite preferably expressed by the formula ZnXMgYAl2 (OH)2( X+ Y)+4 CO3 -nH2 O (0<=X<=2; 4<=X+Y<=6; 0<=n<=20), (D) 0.01-5 pts.wt. (preferably 0.05-3 pts.wt.) of a PVA preferably purified after the (partial) saponification of the vinyl acetate group and (E) 0.05-10 pts.wt. (preferably 0.1-5 pts.wt.) of a polymethyl methacrylate having a polymerization degree of 50-10,000. |
