Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot rolling equipment for iron and steel making equipment capable by preventing the deterioration of quality of a material to be rolled due to the sticking of scale at the time of hot rolling. SOLUTION: This equipment is provided with a thin slab caster 1 for continuously casting the slab 11 from molten metal, a scale peeling device 2 having plural jet nozzles for removing the scale on the surface of the slab by discharging fluid jet on the surface of the slab, a reduction mill 3, a pendulum shear 4, a heating furnace 5 and plural down coilers 6. The scale peeling device 2 provided with plural jet nozzles for removing the scale on the surface of a strip by discharging high-pressure fluid jet on the surface of the strip and a finishing mill array 7 for executing finish rolling of the strip are continuously arranged. The scale peeling device 2 is provided with a 1st and 2nd jet nozzles which are arranged inclining toward the downstream and up-stream direction so that two jets which are discharged toward the surface of the slab (strip) are collided against each other.
