Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily acquire a substance having antigen activity of streptolysin O by reacting solution containing the streptolysin O and a carrier combined with a specific steroid compound. SOLUTION: Solution containing streptolysin O and a kind of steroid compound expressed by a one or more formulae are made to react with each other. A non-bonding material is separated and the streptolysin O steroid compound complex is eluded from a carrier (In a formula, R1 is a substitutional or nonsubstitutional unsaturated or saturated cholesterol side chain group or a cholic acid side chain group, R2 is a hydrogen molecule or a hydroxyl group, and a broken line part expresses a saturated or double binding part). The streptolysin O steroid compound complex obtained by this method is specifically reacted and bound with anti-streptolysin, so as to be used as an antigen having high stability whose property as hemolytic poison is neutralized.
