PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal spray-repairing device of a coke oven and a method for thermal spray-repairing capable of repairing the whole area of oven-wall bricks in a carbonization chamber of the coke oven and prolonging the life-of the coke oven without affecting, the operation by finishing a part to be repaired by thermal spraying to a level equal to or less than the same level as that of the surrounding bricks. SOLUTION: In this thermal spray-repairing device for a coke oven, a thermal spraying burner 1 and a towel 3 are installed to a lance driving machine 5 to be separately driven, the lance driving machine 5 is fixed to a lift driving machine 6 which moves in the vertical direction of the coke oven and fixed to a slide driving machine 7 which moves in the depth direction and fixed to the tip of a beam driving machine which moves in the depth direction, and the beam driving machine and utilities relating to the thermal spraying, a utility control unit, a drive control instrument for the thermal spraying burner, the lance, the beam, etc., are mounted together on a thermal spray-carriage which automatically runs on a pusher rail.
