Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition that is highly productive and is suitable for artificial marble that has an excellent light transmission, gives a luxurious feeling, and is excellent in water resistance. SOLUTION: This resin composition is prepared by mixing 100 to 400 pts.wt. inorganic filler with 100 pts.wt. resin mixture obtained by mixing 25 to 80 pts.wt. unsaturated polyester, 20 to 60 pts.wt. copolymerizable monomer, and 1 to 10 pts.wt. crosslinked polymer. The difference between of the refractive index of the copolymer of the unsaturated polyester and the copolymerizable monomer and the refractive index of the inorganic filler is within 0.02. A molded product is made by curing the composition under heat and pressure.
