Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influence of the heat radiation of a long-length light source. SOLUTION: A dotted printing pattern and a light reflector 7 are provided on either principal surface of a light transmission plate 4 the end face of which a fluorescent lamp 5 is disposed on; a liquid crystal panel 3 is disposed on the other principal surface side thereof through a light diffusing plate 6; and reflectors 11a and 11b are arranged along in the longitudinal direction of the lamp 5; then the respective reflectors 11a and 11b are superposed in the longitudinal direction of the lamp 5 and further a gap is formed in the superposed part. While irradiating light from the lamp 5 is reflected by the reflectors 11a and 11b, it is introduced in the plate 4, emitted from the other principal surface, and projected to the effective display area of the panel 3. |
