PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a wall surface full of variety and having stereoscopic effect by applying an under coating material a on a substrate and pressing a gel like colorful pattern coating material in dot contact state with a sponge or a brush against the under coating material to form a coating layer after the under coating material is dried. SOLUTION: The under coating material 2 is applied on the substrate 1 such as a surface treated concrete mortal and after the under coating material 2 is dried for over several hours, the gel like colorful pattern coating material is applied by pressing against the whole surface in dot contact state with the sponge or the brush to to form the coating layer 3 of the gel like colorful pattern coating material, which has the surface with sharp-pointed projecting and recessing parts. Next, after the coating layer 3 is dried, the gel like colorful pattern coating material is pressed again thereon in dot contact state with the sponge or the brush to be applied to form the coating layer 4 and similarly a coating layer 5 is formed. As a result, the wall surface having finely overlapped shade of color and full of variety is formed.
