Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a color filter by which irregularity in the colors of pixels can be largely decreased and a high quality color filter can be produced. SOLUTION: Pixels are colored with plural numbers of injected inks 242, 244, 246 arranged in the scanning direction while the ink jet head is relatively scanned for several times on the substrate. In one scanning period, each pixel 248 is colored while the injection position of the ink to each pixel 248 is changed from that in another scanning period.
