Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for a test tube suitable for a culturing test tube capable of accommodating a culturing liquid in the interior and culturing bacteria, capable of allowing the cap at a half plugged state at the prescribed position, keeping the sufficient supply of air when culturing and maintaining a sealed state in the completely plugged state. SOLUTION: This cap for a test tube has a top part 1, a skirt part 2 and an concentric circular inner plug part 3 having a dome-like shape and the inner plug part 3 has a ring-like rib 6 on the exterior surface of the dome-like inner plug part 3 near the top part 1 and a narrowed diameter of the dome on the top side thereof. Plural fins 4 are formed on the exterior wall of the narrowed diameter part of the dome of the inner plug part 3 in the longitudinal direction. When the cap is in the half-plugged state, air can easily flow into the test tube from exterior and when the cap is in the completely plugged state, airtightness is kept because the inner plug part is pressed into.
