Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of a chip collecting work by providing a flexible coupling to hold in an airtight state a gap between a through-hole and a tube body with the tube body slidably and oscillatorily supported in the through-hole. SOLUTION: The oscillating head 45 of a flexible coupling 10 is provided at the central part thereof with seal members 48 and 48 slidably held at the oscillating head 45 in such a state to maintained a tube body 1, inserted thereinto, in an airtight state. Thus, through arbitrary combination of attitude variation of the oscillating head 45 due to oscillation and variation of a depth of insertion of the tube body 1 into the oscillating head 45, the tip of the tube body 1 is guided to an arbitrary position in a gas conduit 100 and chips 130 are collected to the outside of the conduit in such a state to maintain the gas conduit 100 in an active pipe state.
