Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve responsiveness in controlling the neutral position of a diaphragm and to prevent the air on the blower side from being mixed with the air on the patient's side. SOLUTION: A diaphragm neutral position controller 10 is used in a respirator 12 provided with a blower 52 for simultaneously producing both positive Ap and negative An air pressures, rotary valve mechanism 54 for alternately selecting the positive pressure Ap and the negative pressure An and converting to a prescribed vibration air pressure Apn, and a diaphragm mechanism 56 which operates by being energized with the vibration air pressure Apn and which supplies air to the patient P. The diaphragm neutral position controller 10 is equipped with a diaphragm position sensor 601 for detecting the position of a diaphragm 561, a pressure control valve 14 for controlling the positive pressure Ap, negative pressure An or vibration air pressure Apn, and a controller 16 for controlling the pressure control valve 14 based on the position of the diaphragm 561.
