Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit a primer coating step and also to form a coating film excel lent in weatherblity, antifoulancy, etc. SOLUTION: A metallic coating material is directly applied to a rigid plastic without applying a primer and a clear coating material is applies on a coated surface without curing. In this case, an org. solvent type metallic coating material consisting essentially of a composition containing (a) 10-40wt.% hydroxy group-containing polyester resin, (b) 30-70wt.% hydroxy group-containing acryl modified chlorinated polyolefin resin, (c) 1-15wt.% cellulose acetate butyrate and (d) 10-40wt.% aminoaldehyde resin as a vehicle and blending (e) a metallic pigment is used as the metallic coating material.
