Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the galloping of transmission lines by rotating in a driving way repeatedly a rotary supporting shaft interposed between the transmission lines when the reductions of the tensions of the transmission lines producing galloping phenomena are detected. SOLUTION: In bearings 4a, 4b provided on the frame of a steel tower, a rotary supporting shaft 3 with both its end parts coupled to yoke metal fittings Y1, Y2 via coupling metal fittings 2a, 2b is provided in a rotatable way orthogonally to the extending direction of the wires of transmission lines. In this rotary supporting shaft 3, an arm 5 is provided in a T-shaped form to connect its end in a rotatable way to a driving shaft 6a of a hydraulic cylinder 6 fastened to the frame of the steel tower. Sensors 8a, 8b are connected to the yokes Y1, Y2. The variations of the stresses acting on the yokes Y1, Y2, i.e., the variations of the tensions of the wires of the transmission lines are made sensible as the variation of the output of a bridge circuit to drive a hydraulic pump 7a when the tension of the transmission line is reduced to a value not larger than a predetermined value. |
