Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tread rubber composition, excellent in gripping properties, comprising a specific diene-based rubber and a silicone-based polymer in a specific proportion and capable of producing a great frictional force on ice while minimizing the deterioration in reinforcing properties. SOLUTION: This tread rubber composition for studless tires comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. diene-based rubber which is a natural rubber or a diene-based synthetic rubber (e.g. a styrene-butadiene rubber, a butadiene rubber or an isoprene rubber), (B) 0.5-40 pts.wt. silicone-based polymer (e.g. a room temperature vulcanizable type or a low-temperature vulcanizable type silicone rubber, a millable type silicone rubber or a silicone resin having <=100μm average particle diameter) and, as necessary, further (C) 30-80 pts.wt. carbon black. |
