Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print out and copy a highly precise image at a high speed. SOLUTION: In the image input/output device using an image input means 1 and an image output means 2 to make copying, an input setting revision means 7 revises setting of an image input every time an image is received. After a copy control means 6 is used, one of a color conversion means 3, a resolution conversion means 9, a gradation conversion means 10 and a binarization means 4 or over are used to make processing according to an input setting and to provide an output of an image. The setting of image input is revised according to color information to be printed out. Thus, a print image with high precision and high image quality is obtained regardless of reduction in an image data quantity. Furthermore, since the transfer time of the image data is reduced, the image is copied at a high speed.
