Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the current consumption of the LCD in the standby state by displaying a screen of the LCD only when the user takes a terminal equipment in his hands through a detection output of a touch sensor. SOLUTION: An input of a touch sensor 105 is connected to a positive pole 104 of a conductive terminal 102, and its output is connected to an input port of a microprocessor 110. When the user takes a mobile radio terminal equipment in his hands, a very small current flows between a negative pole 103 of the conductive terminal 102 and the positive pole 104 via a transistor(TR) 108 and a resistor 106. When the TR 108 is conductive, a current flows therein via a resistor 107 and a high level is given to an input port of the microprocessor 110. An output of a constant voltage series regulator 114 is set and a display screen of an LCD 113 is turned on. When the user detaches its hands from the mobile radio terminal equipment, the LCD 113 is turned off.
