Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower ray reflectivity, to enhance dimensional accuracy and to improve a light shielding property by irradiating remaining coating layers with light rays from the side opposite to the side first irradiated with the light rays, then baking the substrate having the coating layers, thereby forming black matrix patterns. SOLUTION: A mask is installed on a coating layer side and is irradiated with the rays from above the same. The cure parts of the photosensitive resin by an exposure stage are not dissolved and the uncured parts exclusive thereof are developed by a liquid which dissolves the same. The state that the coating layers 2 are patterned on the substrate 1 is obtd. in this stage. Next, the substrate is irradiated with the rays from the side opposite to the side first irradiate with the rays. As a result, the rear side where the light is prevented by its own colored pigments and dyes from sufficiently arriving at the substrate is irradiated sufficiently with the light well and curing and polymerizing progress. Next, the black matrix substrate made uniform in the curing density of the photosensitive resin on both sides of the coating layers is subjected to a heat treatment by a back exposure stage. As a result, the adhesion property to the substrate is improved.
