Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the out break of crack at the edge part of a glass sealing and deformation of front plate part in forming inner surface of a hollow glass article by forming a thermal insulating layer at the circumference of molding surface or the front molding face to the thickness direction of a plunger not protruding in molding face. SOLUTION: From the inside of the plunger 103 which forms the inner surface of a hollow glass article, inserting a cooling room 116, the thermal insulating layer 119 having <=20w/mK of thermal conductivity is set in such a way as not protruding in the circumference of molding surface 111 or the front molding face 109, at the contact part of the cooling liquid with the thermal insulating layer is placed a sealing agent 120 and protected from water. The temperature distribution of the plunger 103 is capable to set freely and optimize the temperature of each point.
