Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To erect a steel material efficiently at a place under severe working conditions. SOLUTION: When a steel material is erected, a guide rail 12 is laid on a ground surface. The guide rail 12 has approximately the same length as length in the longitudinal direction of the steel material to be erected 10a, and is worked so that one end side is placed approximately just under a hook 20. When laying is completed, wheels are fitted to the rail 12a, and an erecting truck 14 is placed. The end section of the steel material 10a is inserted to a holding section 14c, and held and fixed by clamping by a bolt, and one end side of the steel material 10a is pulled up to an upper section by a crane 16. When one end side of the steel material 10a is drawn up by the crane 16, the erecting truck 14 is moved to the crane 16 side along the guide rail 12 with the draw-up while the holding section 14c is erected gradually. Since the steel material 10a is brought to an approximately vertical state when the holding section 14c is brought to an approximately upright state, the holding and fixing of the holding section 14c are released under the state.
