Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-blast circuit-breaker by which an arc can be effectively extinguished regardless of the magnitude of a breaking current and injection operating force of arc-extinguishing gas can be reduced. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a movable main contactor 4, a fixed main contactor 2, a puffer cylinder 6 which is arranged on the movable contactor side and has a puffer chamber to accumulate arc-extinguishing gas, a puffer shaft which can move this puffer cylinder and presses and flows out gas by a puffer piston, a movable insulating nozzle 5 to guide and inject the flowed-out gas and movable and fixed arc contactors arranged in the vicinity of this movable insulating nozzle. In this case, an axial center part of the puffer cylinder 6 is formed in a hollow shape, and the movable arc contactor side is opened in the vicinity of the movable arc contactor 3 in this hollow part, and a duplex puffer 12 having a discharge passage 14 to discharge gas to its periphery is provided.
