PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically select a test line in the selection method of the test line in a combination test for inputting plural test calls to an exchange so as to conduct the test. SOLUTION: At the time of generating the test call in the combination test for generating the test call from the plural finite number (n) of lines stored in the exchange and for terminating it to the other line, line information of n-pieces of lines are arranged in the matrix of n×n, in which originating lines and terminating lines are set to be rows and columns (S1). The number of line combinations by removing the combinations contained in the row and the column, which correspond to the line during the test, and the combination where the originating/terminating lines become the same is calculated as the number (k) of the combinations on selection possible lines (S2). Serial numbers (1-k) are given the to the combinations of the selection possible lines (3). The number more than '1' and less than (k) is generated by using random numbers (S4). Then, the originating/terminating lines, which correspond to the row and the column, in which the combination to which the same number as the generated number is given exists, are selected as the lines for originating/terminating the test call.
