Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a seam part from being broken or causing a position shift. SOLUTION: This belt conveyance device is provided with a belt guide means 4 which restricts the breadthwise movement of an endless belt 2, formed by joining both the lengthwise ends of a long-sized belt member together as a seam part 1, by abutting against at least one side of the end surface of the belt 2 wound rotatably around plural roll members 3, and conveys an object carried on the belt 2 by rotation; and a cut part 5 where the end of the seam part l is recessed from the end surface of the belt 2 along the width is formed at the edge part of the belt 2 on the side of the belt guide means 4. Further, the shape and size relation of the cut part 5 are devised. The cut part 5 is used in common even as a detected part for position control over the belt 2.
